CMMP Surgical Center, LLC was the original vision of a local physician/surgeon, Carl R. Doerhoff, M.D. Dr. Doerhoff envisioned a facility that would offer the residents of Jefferson City and the surrounding areas an alternative for outpatient procedures. Dr. Doerhoff approached some colleagues, and together they founded CMMP Surgical Center and broke ground in 1994. Construction completed in 1995.
CMMP Surgical Center opened in 1995, under the direct ownership of physicians; the first outpatient procedure was a laparoscopic hernia repair and was performed on September 14, 1995, by Dr. Carl Doerhoff. CMMP Surgical Center was the first Medicare Certified and State Licensed freestanding ASC in Mid-Missouri. Our service area is approximately a 100-mile radius of Jefferson City, Missouri, serving more than 70,000 residents.
The Surgical Center is 100% physician owned. We are a multi-specialty surgery center. We do not employ physicians. We offer surgical services in the following specialties: General, GI, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, ENT, Oral/Dental, and Orthopedics.
